CBF in Syracuse, New York

Campus Bible Fellowship in Syracuse, New York is active on the campuses of Syracuse University and Onondaga Community College. The Bible Study at OCC meets on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM. We are presently studying an overview, various themes and narratives from the Old Testament. The weekly Bible study/fellowship meeting at SU meets near the SU campus, in the home of Paul and Sandy Jewell (full time staff with Campus Bible Fellowship). That study is looking at the life of Jesus with emphasis on the reality of the culture and world of his day. The Jewell’s home serves as the outreach center for the Campus Bible Fellowship ministry in the Syracuse area. A second Bible study meets in the Schine student center on the SU campus at 3:00 PM on Thursdays. That study is covering the book of Proverbs. A third study with football players and staff is held in the football wing of the field house on Wednesday nights at 9:30. That study is covering some of the better known passages from the Bible like The Lords Prayer, The 10 Commandments, The 23rd Psalm, etc., along with many discussion questions.

Outreaches on both campuses include information tables set up on campus with literature and information brochures that explain about the CBF group. Emphasis is also placed on individual Bible studies for both the seeker and the student who is already a believer and wants to learn more about the Bible. Students are also active in local churches in the area.
