The ministry of Campus Bible Fellowship in South Florida includes two campuses. We meet twice a week on the campus of Florida International University and once a week on the Miami Dade College InterAmerican Campus. We would like to share with you one highlight of this past year at FIU which has around 37,000 students from over 130 countries.

The emphasis this year at FIU was discipleship. Our Bible studies were designed to emphasize the authority of the Scriptures. The highlight we would like to share with you is our mission trip to Lafayette, Louisiana. Eight individuals gave up their spring break to serve their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We served Acadian Baptist Church in Lafayette. Our major responsibility was canvassing the neighborhoods near the church.

Each day Pastor Price exposed us to the culture of Lafayette before we went two by two into the community. Our day ended in a time of debriefing, preparing for the next day and a Bible study on John 15.

During the week God gave us the opportunity to reach out to 270 homes, and many opportunities to share the gospel. On Wednesday the team spent the day on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. One student trusted Christ as his Savior!

This trip really became the climax to our discipleship. Each student was required to go through an eight week evangelism class before the trip. The planning, preparation and the trip increased the faith of each team member as God answered our prayers. The following are just a few examples:

1. God gave us safety on the roads (2000 miles).
2. God gave us beautiful weather.
3. God gave us favor with the people of Lafayette
4. God gave us over $5000.00 to provide for the expenses of the team.
5. God gave us opportunities to share Christ and see fruit.
