Testimony for Weil Sawyer
Weil came to North Carolina School of the Arts as a freshman to develop his skills in organ and piano. He has attended our CBF meetings very faithfully. We all thought he was really born-again, but one night in the fall of 2001 Daniel Senning, the chairman of our Area Liaison Committee, led him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He had made a profession of faith as a young child, but came to the conclusion that he really wasn’t saved. One of the first things he did after trusting Christ as his Savior was to share this with the folks at Salem Baptist Church where he had been attending. Currently Weil is growing in the Lord through weekly discipleship Bible studies and has recently made a decision to join Salem Baptist Church following his baptism.

This 20 year old young man not only won the collegiate organ competition for North Carolina and then for the Southeastern Region, but also the National for the whole United States! Like Johann Sebastian Bach, he desires that his playing be “Solo Dei Gloria” (only to God be the glory). He continually prays about his practices and playing and asks others to pray for him. He wants to use this tremendous talent he has to serve His Savior.
