Testimony for Jung-Mi Lee

In Korea a lot of people are Buddhists, but my family are Christians. Before I was born, my parents and most of my family had been saved. It was natural for me to know about God when I was young. I went to church every Sunday, and I attended many church activities.

It was good for me to know about God. I knew that I was a sinner and that Christ died for us, but I didn’t really have a relationship with God. I was just going to church as a habit. If I didn’t go to church I felt uncomfortable throughout the week.

I began to have doubts: “I go to church every Sunday, but why do I go there?” I was about 11 years old, and I attended our Korean summer camp in the church for students. At that time I was thinking a lot and praying. I heard his voice, and realized I was a sinner. Now He is my Father, and I also belong to Him. After I realized that, I was very happy, and I wanted to grow in the Lord; so I joined the church choir and volunteered for other activities.

Before coming to U.S. I was a little worried about finding a good and Bible study. I came to the U.S. to English study. When I came here, my cousin was already studying the Bible with Campus Bible Fellowship, and she recommended this to me. Actually, Bible study helps my English. In the beginning I couldn’t understand English because it is a different language with a different style. I am thankful to God for helping me to understand and for the help the CBF Staff have provided.
